Silver Beach is one of Bellingham, WA’s 24 officially recognized neighborhoods and the only one located on the shores of Lake Whatcom. There are approximately 1500 households in the neighborhood and over 3,300 residents. The neighborhood is primarily residential, but includes several small businesses and a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Silver Beach is a located on the eastern side of city and the north end of Lake Whatcom, which is officially recognized as a reservoir as it provides the drinking water for the City of Bellingham and some residents of Whatcom County – in all some approximately 90,000 people. The purpose of this website is to inform Association members, Silver Beach Neighbors and the general public about association activities as well as alert them to events, activities and issues that affect the neighborhood.
Upcoming meeting: May 10th - Water Meters, Wind Turbine, Native Plant Garden
Come participate in our question-and-answer forum to address issues regarding the water meter project, and hear how a wind turbine project may affect our neighborhood. The Mayor's visit to SBNA has been postponed until our August 9th meeting, tentatively to be a community picnic; Ideas and volunteers welcome!
